FORSight Resources is a high tech forestry consulting firm. We focus on Forest Inventory & Biometrics, GIS and Remote Sensing, Harvest Scheduling & Spatial Forest Planning. We combine these areas of expertise to provide comprehensive timberland acquisition due diligence. We have extensive experience with ESRI products as they apply to forestry and natural resource decision making. This includes assistance with imagery collection, digitizing, GIS analysis, as well as database designs and enterprise GIS implementation.

Overview:
To efficiently and effectively manage a forest you need to have detailed knowledge about the location and characteristics of your forest. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is in common use across the forest industry to both inventory forest resources as well as to analyze and model forests in a decision support system.
FORSight Resources has been involved in many different types of GIS projects from the integration of GIS and Remote Sensing data, the digitizing of new or updated forest stands, to the design, development and deployment of comprehensive enterprise GIS systems. Tools we commonly use for these analyses is ArcGIS, but we occasionally use eCognition, and/or ERDAS Imagine.
FORSight is a member of the ESRI Partner Network and is a software reseller of ESRI ArcGIS, ArcView and related extensions.
