MapNimbus is a public mapping application that allows citizens access to important, relevant information from their local government. The application was developed to provide local government agencies with a way to grant the public access to the locations of crimes in their area. However, with the online portal, you can choose to allow the public access to a variety of other information, including but not limited to, sex offender data, restaurant sanitation grades, environment information, capital improvement projects, etc. Citizens can also sign up to be alerted when new events and incidents occur in their predefined area of interest.
