The 3-GIS Leak Survey Management Solution is broken into 2 areas, office management of LSMS activities and field survey and inspection activities. 3-GIS Web gives users the ability to view and analyze LSMS data and gas asset data in a GIS, and offers a wide range of functionality, including work order compiling, asset data viewing, simple and complex querying, plotting, and reporting.
The 3-GIS LSMS gives supervisors the ability to schedule areas in the utility’s territory for various types of survey inspections, including standard walking surveys or building surveys. The LSMS also offers tools to review the progress and results of the survey to assist in satisfying regulatory compliance requirements.
In the field, 3-GIS Mobile provides access to LSMS data, a gas network, and a landbase in a disconnected or connected state. With 3-GIS Mobile, surveyors can download LSMS work assignments to their mobile device from the central LSMS repository and experience full GPS capability, enabling users to continuously pan to their location and record issues, such as leaks at their active GPS reading.
A GPS breadcrumb trail can also be recorded to determine whether a particular main has been surveyed based on the proximity of the trail to the main. Capturing leaks and other abnormal operating conditions, the 3-GIS LSMS allows user to link photos and documents of these conditions.
3-GIS Mobile also has the ability to connect to a Leak Detection Device via Bluetooth.
